6 Ideal electric commercial vehicles

06 augustus 2019

Many entrepreneurs need a good company car to do their work. Fortunately, there is a lot to choose from when it comes to commercial vehicles. Electric commercial vehicles, for example, are becoming increasingly popular. It is a sustainable, good and in the long term also economical option if you do not have to drive such long distances with your company car. They also give your company a positive sustainable image and are also very favorable from a tax perspective. As most people know, you also pay extra tax on cars that you also use privately. This additional tax is set at 22% for normal cars, but is a lot lower for electric cars. For electric commercial vehicles with a list value of €50,000 or less, you only pay 4% additional tax.

1. Peugeot Partner Electric

An electric commercial vehicle that can be a good choice for many companies is the Peugeot Partner Electric. This fully electric company car is available from just under €25,000 and therefore belongs to the 4% additional tax on company cars. The Partner Electric has an excellent range of approximately 170 kilometers. Because it can charge 80% within half an hour, you can also drive longer distances without much extra travel time.

The largest version has a loading space of 10.7 cubic meters and a loading capacity of 1,720 kilos. The loading space is 1.86 meters high, meaning most people can stand upright in it. The electric Vito is slightly more expensive than the fossil fuel variant, but according to Mercedes-Benz you will earn this back within a few years due to the low energy and maintenance costs. If you prefer an electric bus from Mercedes-Benz, you can also opt for the larger Mercedes-Benz eSprinter.

5. Nissan E-NV200

Nissan's electric commercial vehicle has been a daring competitor to the Peugeot Partner for a few years now. We already see this E-NV200 driving in many cities. With the 40Kwh battery, the Nissan's range is approximately 200 kilometers. The E-NV200 also has a B-Mode, which means that the car uses recuperative braking. This allows the battery to recharge without using power. An ECO mode can also be activated to get the most out of the battery. Nissan also guarantees proper functioning of the batteries, which is why two types of guarantees are given. The vehicle and electrical components are covered for 5 years or 100,000 km and the new 40 kWh battery capacity is covered for 8 years or 160,000 km.
